Topic: Someone Like Me
Guest: John W. Quinn
I was born with cerebral palsy. In spite of partial paralysis, two different sized feet, and the inability to walk prior to the age of four, I still was able to not only find employment, but retired at the age of forty after a highly successful twenty-year career in a major corporation: the United States Navy. I did it all while keeping my condition a complete secret out of a deep desire to be treated just like everyone else.
In Someone Like Me, An Unlikely Story of Challenge and Triumph over Cerebral Palsy, I describe what it is like to live with a handicap—a life filled with pain, laughter and love.
I wrote this book to give hope to the millions of people struggling with muscular disorders who fight to make it through every day. It is also for the parents who lie awake at night and wonder what the future holds for their children–those who resist leaving the house for fear of being laughed at because they are different. Decades later, I can still remember that laughter.
With a little luck and lots of hard work and determination to succeed despite overwhelming odds, sometimes we can indeed achieve what seems impossible.
Topic: Healing Jewelry as Works of Art
Guest: Andrea Rosenfeld
No artist can predict where her passion for creation will take her.
Artist Andrea Rosenfeld’s exciting journey has been evolutionary: from a University of Michigan Art Student to Perry Ellis Portfolio Menswear Assistant Merchandiser, to Isaac Mizrahi Ltd. Director of Merchandising and Operations, and finally to creating and owning her own jewelry line. Rosenfeld’s ultimate destination: Hot Rox Jewelry
Skilled in metal working, loom weaving, silk screening, photography, fashion design, drawing, painting, ceramics, woodworking — and now jewelry design — Rosenfeld makes use of a combination of materials and techniques, and places emphasis on texture as a main force in her creations.
The most recent path of Rosenfeld’s artistic journey has resulted in Hot Rox Jewelry’s new Kavanah Healing Line. Born out of her desire to create something for a higher purpose, she creates pieces infused with her own personal message of hope and strength, and the belief that the wearer can feel the power of these specific healing stones and their energy of creation and regeneration. In addition to offering healing properties to her clients, Rosenfeld is working towards using only recycled, reclaimed and Fair Trade materials in her work thereby making sure that the companies she supports treat their laborers with respect and compassion.
Her sculptural and playful Hot Rox Jewelry and Kavanah lines sell in boutiques, museum stores and at Bloomingdale’s Trunk Shows, but her creative passion has taken her beyond merely fashioning jewelry art to sell.
This new Kavanah Healing line has captured the interest of the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation, and Rosenfeld has been asked to co-chair for an upcoming Komen Event. She is also planning to teach cancer patients to make jewelry while enlightening them to the power of healing stones.
In addition to offering healing art using eco-friendly materials, Rosenfeld also donates her jewelry art and a percentage of her proceeds to various charities to help raise money for their causes.

Topic: When it comes to your diet, going raw ain’t what it used to be.
Guest: Tina Jo Stephens
Tina Jo comes from a traditional Italian family. Where the kitchen (and mother) was the heart of the home. Everything was done there. Homework, games, hair, eating, cooking… you get the picture. Her mother was one of those cooks who never measured anything! She would just add a pinch of this and handful of that, but would taste everything. She just “knew” how to create all those incredible dishes.
Fast forward.
Tina Jo became an Ophthalmic Technologist and was in practice for nearly twenty years… and during that time how saw how affected people were by what they ate.
So many of the patients she saw suffered from Diabetes, Macular Degeneration, High Blood Pressure, Cancer, Multiple Scleroses, and other horrible diseases.
Time and time again, she was a witness to the tragedy of The Great American Diet.
However Tina admits she too, suffered the consequences of a poor diet… with incredibly painful ovarian and uterine cysts. She tried everything – that is, every western drug and test available to womankind. It never occurred to her it could be her diet – and, the worse thing is, it was never suggested by any of the doctors either.
I think you know where we might be going with this…

Cherry has over twelve years of experience. She has produced numerous workshops, seminars, an eight-week home study course, and even a feature length independent motion picture (“Duty Dating”). She’s coached a multitude of celebrities, actors and VIPs.

Topic: Learn to turn things around from someone who’s been there.
Claudia Juárez is the Plan B Girl, the girl who thought everything was lost until she got a Plan B and turned her life around. With over 10 years in the practice of being happy at the workplace, she lives and teaches what her lifestyle is about: HAPPINESS.
She is a regular person with a regular life who one day found herself feeling miserable, sick and tired, wishing there was a way out of it since she only had 2 hours a day to “have a life” (and that was on a good day). She thought that maybe self employment was the answer, then that her corporate manager should motivate her. Until she realized the answer, as so many wise teachers tell you, is inside.
After all the metaphysics are done, after all the therapies are done, after all the soul searching is done, it comes down to one thing: do what you love, enjoy what you love.
Her life turned around so much that people started asking her what she was taking but it was a change of attitude from the inside out. That same people started asking her to teach them how to do the same and the results were amazing. Today she’s an expert at creating the Inner Game of Joy, making her audiences feel empowered to search for that which realy makes them tick.

Kisane had her first major career as a top photographic model in Sydney, Australia for 10 years. It was during the late 60s & 70s when there were many changes happening – for example, the arrival of the mini-skirt!
She retired from modelling & took on her second career as a ‘full-time mum’ for 15 years to four children (inlcuding twins). When the youngest went to pre-school, Kisane took herself off to University, and began couselling while studying for her PhD.
After receiving her PhD, she was invited to become a Senior Lecturer at a University in Perth and taught counselling to Masters students within the Social Work Department.
Dr. Kisane retired from that career in January 2009.
Since then she’s been building her fourth career as an online Attraction Marketer. She says ” There are two things that have really stood out for me since I’ve commenced this new career. The first is that I’m able to utilise so many of the skills that I’ve developed over the years in my previous careers. Secondly, just how much fun this new career is, meeting people online from all over the world!”
