When recording yourself on video, do it at eye level (or slightly above).
I don’t know about you, but I’m reminded of that scene in a TV show The Golden Girls, from way-back-when.
Dorothy and Blanch discuss looking down at their mate from above, and how unflattering it looks.
Anyway, that would be an extreme example, but you get the picture.
