Video Tip of the Week (bonus)

Write up some talking points, THEN speak to them on camera.

It doesn’t have to  be a script.

A simple outline will do.

Don’t stand in front of a whiteboard holding a marker…standing sideways… getting ready to show me something… only to talk for two whole minutes… while making gestures to the whiteboard… And Not Writing Anything.

Figure out what you’re going to say. THEN record.

Or face me completely… say what you have to say… then write when you’re ready to write.

Here’s the exception to this “rule”…

When your audience already knows you, and WANTS to hear what you have to say. Even if it’s off the top of your head.

If they don’t know you… they’ll most likely click away.
